Summer Special 2017
novel is celebrating 30 years of pedar system.
In Summer 1987 novel for the first time offered the pedar sensor insoles connected to an electronic device for pressure distribution measurements inside shoes.
Peter Cavanagh, Benno Nigg and the Nike research lab were among the first users.
Today the pedar system is the world standard for quality in-shoe measurement of plantar forces. Nearly all big sport shoe companies around the world work with the pedar system.
The story of success we would like to celebrate together with you.
Therefore, we grant a special discount on all incoming orders for emed and pedar systems until July 15th, 2017!
Fritz Dopfer, the German ski professional and winner of the silver medal in slalom at the world championship 2015, is currently finalizing his rehabilitation program after a complex fracture in November 2016. During the last couple of months Fritz was using the pedoped system to monitor the progress in load balance between the legs during training and daily routine tasks. The pedoped data help him to quantify the success of his training. Fritz works hard on "back to sports".
On the occasion of the silver jubilee, the Clinic for Hand Surgery in Bad Neustadt, Germany arranges an International Symposium which will take place from 24 to 26 May. novel will show its manugraphy® system for hand diagnostics, the pliance® sensor glove system, and the latest innovation buttonsens for measuring the load on the hand. We look forward to meeting you to demonstrate the different applications of our hand systems.
From 15 to 18 May 2017, novel will be represented at the Iran Health Exhibition in Teheran for the second time. Our representative in Iran, company ArangTeb, will show and explain the different novel load distribution measurement systems at the German joint exhibition booth. They are pleased to welcome everybody who is interest in the novel product family.
The Annual Meeting of the German Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Association took place on 24th and 25th of March 2017 at the halls of RuhrCongress in Bochum, Germany. Once again, it was an interesting meeting with many discussions around the theme of the foot, e.g. injuries of the foot and the ankle and their diagnosis and treatment, especially focussing on most recent trends and innovations. novel demonstrated their newest load distribution measurement and pedography technology and was happy to meet many interested people and customers. Thank you for your great interest!
From 16 to 18 March 2017 the 4th Directorate of Podiatric Surgery Conference (DOPS) was held in Coventry, UK. One day full of practical workshops followed by two days of different sessions made an exciting scientific programme about the progression of podiatric surgery. novel presented the latest pedography systems for the usage pre and after foot surgery. Thank you for your visit!
New scientific article just published in the American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation: “Prospective Evaluation of Postural Control and Gait in Pediatric Patients with Cancer After a 4-Week Inpatient Rehabilitation Program” from Carsten Müller, PhD, Dieter Rosenbaum, PhD, and Konstantin A. Krauth, MD of the Institute of Sport and Exercise Sciences, Work Unit Performance and Training in Sports, University of Münster, Münster, Germany (CM); Institute of Experimental Musculoskeletal Medicine, Movement Analysis Laboratory, University Hospital of Münster, Münster, Germany, (CM, DR); and Klinik Bad Oexen, Kinderhaus, Bad Oeynhausen, Germany (KAK).
Postural control was assessed examining the velocity of the center of pressure and single-leg stance time on our emed pressure distribution measurement platform.
Walk ratio, a measure of neuromotor control, was used to evaluate intervention effects on gait.
The Annual Meeting of the Association of Southern German Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgeons (VSOU) will already be hold for the 65th time from 27 to 29 April 2017 in Baden-Baden, Germany. This year’s conference will focus on joint injuries, endoprosthetics, spine, sports orthopeadics, and several free themes like foot surgery, hand surgery, children and elderly traumatology. Meet novel at this conference in Baden-Baden, and let us talk about our newest load distribution measurement technologies, and their wide range of application in orthopaedics and trauma surgery.
Under the topic „muscles and tendons – scientific knowledge in sports physiotherapy“ the 5th Salzburg Sports Physiotherapy Symposium (SSPS) will take place from 21st to 22nd April 2017 at the University of Salzburg, Austria. The initiator of this symposium and novel system user, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Erich Müller from the Department IFFB Sports und Human Movement, created an interesting program with keynotes presentations, workshops, congress party and industry exhibition. About 350 participants are expected. novel will be present with a booth to demonstrate our latest measurement systems. We look forward to meeting you there!
novel is sponsoring the National Biomechanics Day 2017 (NBD) which will take place on 6th April 2017 in different participating laboratories in USA and for the first time also in New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, and other countries.
This event is a unified and synchronized celebration of Biomechanics. Under this year´s theme “Science Meets Fun on National Biomechanics Day” Biomechanics will be demonstrated to high school students, teachers, and parents. Last year over 150 Biomechanists in 35 US states have shown Biomechanics to over 2,000 high school students and teachers.
